Job summary

Starburst is seeking a Solutions Architect Manager to lead a team of architects who educate buyers on Starburst solutions. You will partner with sales, guide strategy, and work with product, engineering, and services to deliver winning demonstrations and POCs.

The role requires 8+ years in pre-sales with 3+ years in people management, deep data warehousing/BI expertise, and up to 25% travel in the US. Competitive compensation includes equity and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity with 3+ years of direct line management experience (hiring, training and retaining top talent)
• Industry expert within Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and/or Cloud Computing
• Strong hands-on technical skills within Databases, Data Warehousing, ETL and Analytics
• Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences
• Ability to connect a customer's specific business problems with Starburst's solutions
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25% for onboarding, team offsites, customer engagements, and events

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of Solutions Architects who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts
• Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota targets and long term client relationships
• Provide guidance on sales strategy, product gaps and represent team needs to executives
• Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate with prospects and the sales team
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services
• Source and screen candidates and manage the interview process
• Act as a player/coach delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects
