Job summary

HSO Group B.V. is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead data modernization initiatives on Azure, including Synapse, Databricks, and Delta Lake. You will design scalable data pipelines, drive on-prem to cloud migrations, and implement governance and observability frameworks across enterprise data platforms.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate complex technical concepts for senior stakeholders. A results-driven, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, ETL, data warehousing, and cloud transformation.
• Expertise with Azure Synapse, Databricks, Spark, ADF, ADLS, Python, SQL/T-SQL, and Azure Functions
• Experience optimizing cloud cost, performance, and scale across modern data platforms.
• Deep understanding of Data Mesh, Delta Lake, Azure Purview, and data observability/governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, lead, and deliver complex data modernization projects on Azure platforms.
• Lead on-prem to Azure migrations including hybrid strategies and modernization of legacy warehouses.
• Design and implement data integration across D365 F&O, CE, Salesforce, SAP, Workday, and 3rd-party APIs.
• Build and optimize data pipelines in Azure Synapse and ADF for full and incremental loads.
• Drive performance tuning in Databricks and Synapse; establish best practices for scalable, cost-efficient architectures.
• Implement Delta Lake capabilities to support analytical use cases.
• Apply governance, observability, and security frameworks using Azure Purview and Key Vault.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ARM templates, PowerShell, and GitHub; mentor data engineers.
• Partner with Microsoft service line teams to ensure holistic solution delivery; contribute to client roadmaps and strategy.
