Job summary

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in enterprise data architecture, deep SQL and Spark knowledge, and experience with Azure services. This position emphasizes scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions with leadership responsibilities in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture and modeling.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native data platforms and modern architectures.
• Expert-level SQL with optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Databricks experience.
• Deep Data Vault 2.0 and multi-modeling knowledge.
• Experience with Erwin/ER/Studio and other modeling tools.
• Strong Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Python, and SQL skills.
• Experience building data warehouses, lakehouses, and semantic models.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
• METADATA/MDM governance, data quality, and lineage expertise.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of enterprise data platforms and lakehouse solutions.
• Define enterprise data models across business domains.
• Design canonical, semantic, dimensional, and Data Vault 2.0 models.
• Set standards, naming conventions, and governance for data modeling.
• Design scalable data solutions using Databricks Lakehouse and cloud tech.
• Develop and optimize SQL for large-scale analytics and data transformations.
• Partner with Data Engineering to enforce architecture standards.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance across initiatives.
• Design metadata-driven frameworks and standardized pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Governance on metadata, lineage, MDM, and quality.
• Improve platform scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Mentor architects and engineers on enterprise architecture practices.
