Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Analyst to join the USRM Data Office, focusing on scalable data and reporting solutions for the Direct Distribution and Partnerships teams.

You will design data solutions, prototype analytics, and drive insights while mentoring teammates. Hybrid work is available for eligible locations; remote for others, with emphasis on data governance, quality, and security across multi-tier platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred
• Master's in same or related disciplines strongly preferred
• 3-5 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including NoSQL, ETL, Java, scripting (Python, Perl, Shell), and the Hadoop stack

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data solutions with a focus on reusability that enable effective self-service data consumption.
• Independently prototype/develop data solutions meeting organizational needs; code scalable proofs-of-concept.
• Stay up to date with data engineering advancements and evaluate new tools.
• Identify opportunities to apply Gen AI for data discovery, lineage summarization, automated documentation, query generation and developer productivity.
• Design proof-of-concept solutions using multiple coding languages to meet requirements; test iteratively.
• Mentor junior team members and guide the team.
• Optimize and tune data infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Prioritize efforts based on customer value and set expectations for high-complexity deliverables.
• Ensure data solutions include activities to achieve high data quality, governance, metadata, and security
