Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Analyst to design scalable data solutions for diverse stakeholders, including governance, quality, and reporting teams. The role emphasizes self-service data access, Oracle to cloud transitions, and AI-enabled tooling.

The candidate will lead data engineering practices, mentor juniors, and optimize data infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency, with hybrid in-office options near major US hubs.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Master's in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including ETL & scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell) and the Hadoop stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data solutions with a focus on reusability that enable effective self-service data consumption and describe their value to the customer.
• Independently prototyping/developing data solutions, coding scalable proof-of-concepts and solutions.
• Stay up to date with advancements in data engineering; evaluate new tools and recommend adoption.
• Identify opportunities to apply Gen AI for data discovery, lineage summarization, automated documentation, query generation and developer productivity.
• Designs proof-of-concept solutions utilizing multiple coding languages to meet requirements and test iterations.
• Strive to become a technical leader and mentor for the team.
