Job summary

TransUnion LLC is seeking a Principal, Data Science and Analytics to lead strategic direction and execution across advanced analytics, AI, and platform-enabled consulting. The role blends technical depth, business leadership, and cross-functional influence, with hybrid work and in-person collaboration at a TU office location at least two days a week.

You will drive revenue growth, shape service offerings, and ensure operational excellence while reporting to a VP of Data Science & Analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science or analytics consulting, preferably in Financial Services or adjacent industries.
• 5+ years in leadership roles with enterprise scope.
• Proven ability to influence strategy, operations and commercial outcomes.
• Deep expertise in ML, statistics and AI, with production-grade model pipelines.
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: co-lead DSA and set multi-year strategy and operating model.
• Analytics leadership: guide ML, statistical, and AI consulting delivery.
• Product enablement: partner with Solutions to define analytics products and enable sales.
• Cross-functional: coordinate across Data Science, Tech, Solutions and Sales.
• Data stewardship: ensure governance, data quality, privacy, and compliance.
• Thought leadership: contribute to IP and external thought leadership.
• Talent impact: mentor senior talent and influence recruiting and culture.
