Job summary

Life360 is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to own the path from revenue opportunity to production ML for Direct Revenue, covering ads, subscriptions, and in-app transactions for 100M+ MAU. You will size opportunities, align with business leads, and ship models with data scientists and engineers.

The role expands to consumer-facing ads, personalization, and recommendations. You will scale production ML and help set the team roadmap with leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in statistics, data science, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience building and analyzing ML-powered systems with production deployments.
• Strong Python, scikit-learn, PySpark, and causal inference skills.
• Experience applying modern causal inference and analysis techniques.
• Instrumentation and measurement experience supporting complex analyses and ML.
• Hands-on experience setting up experiments in consumer tech, including design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Size revenue opportunities and translate into production ML projects.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate production ML systems for personalization and experimentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and MLOps teams to integrate systems into features.
• Set up monitoring for ML features and track business impact.
• Implement data, code, and model lineage for reproducibility and compliance.
• Improve data ecosystem and pipelines supporting experimentation.
• Mentor data scientists and establish best practices for ML development.
• Leverage Claude Code and AI tools across data discovery and model evaluation.
