Job summary

artefactlinkedin is seeking a senior data scientist to join a remote-first team that designs, builds, and operates ML products at scale. The role blends hands-on modeling with technical leadership across an international, English-speaking environment.

You will mentor junior data scientists, collaborate with analysts, product managers, and engineers to translate business questions into data science frameworks, and ensure data quality across end-to-end pipelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field such as CS, statistics, engineering, or economics.
• Strong Python for data science with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and PySpark.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, or Databricks).
• Familiarity with data warehousing and SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods and model deployment.
• Proficiency in MLOps tools (MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI) and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end ML pipelines from data to production monitoring.
• Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and engineers to frame business questions into data science solutions.
• Engineer features from large-scale data to improve model accuracy and business impact.
• Ensure data quality and address issues like drift and bottlenecks.
• Document methodologies and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior data scientists through code reviews and design discussions.
