MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced data scientist to interpret complex data sets, build predictive models, and guide analytic initiatives across teams. You will select features, develop classifiers, and apply advanced ML methods to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

7+ years of data analysis/science with data-driven decision making.
Strong knowledge of ML techniques and algorithms (e.g., k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, decision trees).
Proficient with SQL and relational databases; experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Interpret results using data aggregation, statistics, data mining, and pattern recognition.
Select features and refine classifiers for improved performance.
Act as SME in data and analytics for peer analysts and stakeholders.
Identify suitable decision-technology techniques for analytical frameworks.
Forecast trends and build reliable predictions with quantitative methods.
Expand data collection procedures for robust analytics systems.
Develop automated anomaly detection and monitor model performance.
