Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced data scientist to interpret complex datasets and drive data-driven decisions across programs. You will use advanced analytics, ML models and feature selection to build robust classifiers and predictive systems.

You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding analysts and operational stakeholders while deploying scalable analytics pipelines and monitoring model performance for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 7+ years of experience in data analysis/science.
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, decision trees).
• Experience with data science toolkits and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret results using data aggregation, statistics, data mining and pattern recognition.
• Select features and refine classifiers using ML techniques for improved performance.
• Serve as SME in data analytics for peers and stakeholders.
