Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a seasoned data science professional to interpret results, develop ML models, and guide analytics across teams. You will select features, refine classifiers, and apply advanced techniques to drive decision-making and forecast trends.

Lead data initiatives, expand collection procedures, and monitor model performance while staying current with new technologies to grow MAXIMUS's analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 7+ years in data analysis/science.
• Advanced machine learning knowledge and algorithms (e.g., k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Trees).
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases; experience with data visualization tools.
• Strong written and oral communication and leadership in project prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Interpret results using data aggregation, statistics, data mining and pattern recognition.
• Select features and build classifiers using modern machine learning techniques.
• Act as SME in data analytics, guiding peers and stakeholders.
• Identify decision technology techniques for analytical frameworks (e.g., optimization, simulation, regression).
• Use statistical methods to forecast trends and maintain reliable predictions.
• Expand data collection for robust analytics systems.
• Develop automated anomaly detection and monitor model performance.
• Lead project management and coordinate team communication and strategy.
• Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to MAXIMUS initiatives.
