Job summary

Chime is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist, Referrals to measure how our referral investments drive member acquisition and long‑term value. You will partner with the Referrals team to define KPIs and forecast spend across campaigns, audiences, and goals.

You will build forecasting models for acquisition volume, cost, and downstream LTV, and develop attribution approaches that account for dual-sided incentives and organic overlap. Dashboards will track spend, CAC, and funnel conversion by campaign.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in referral programs, marketing analytics, or growth analytics.
• Experience with marketing campaign planning and sizing.
• Strong SQL and Python or R for analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Define KPIs and measurement frameworks across campaigns and audiences.
• Size and scope referral campaigns with marketing, product and finance; translate goals into spend, volume, and ROI projections.
• Build forecasting models for the referral channel including acquisition volume, cost, and LTV under various spend scenarios.
• Develop attribution approaches that reconcile platform performance with observed behavior.
• Design geo experiments, holdouts, and platform lift studies to quantify incremental lift.
• Build and maintain dashboards showing spend, CAC, funnel conversion, and downstream LTV by campaign.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve tracking, data quality and pipelines behind spend, click, and conversion data.
• Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
