Job summary

Chime is seeking a Sr. Growth Product Data Scientist to partner with Growth Product and Engineering, owning end-to-end funnels from acquisition to retention. You will design, run, and interpret experiments, translating ambiguous business questions into prioritized, data-driven recommendations.

You will collaborate with PMs, design, and lifecycle marketing to foster a data-driven culture, build scalable data pipelines, and develop metrics that drive long-term member and business value.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant hands-on experience in product or business analytics roles (FinTech a plus).
• Expert-level SQL ability and proficiency in Python.
• Broad knowledge of applied statistics, experimental design, and analysis of A/B tests. Demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques for applied business use cases.
• Demonstrated experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an independent thought partner to Product, Engineering, and Design — shaping strategy, not just measuring it.
• Develop a rich program of experimentation and A/B testing to improve member product experiences, including metric creation, power analysis, and analysis of results.
• Drive data-informed decision making by equipping PMs and engineers with self-service analytics tools and conducting ad hoc analyses.
• Apply statistical methods for causal inference and time-series forecasting to solve product questions; occasionally apply ML for customer segmentation.
• Build metrics to measure user funnels, product engagement, and retention, and propose experiments to improve them.
• Help establish high-quality eventing to track detailed user behaviors along customer journeys in the app.
• Develop team metrics and dashboards to track business and product health, aligning with long-term value goals.
• Translate analytical findings into executive-ready narratives to drive action and alignment.
