Job summary

Chime is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist, Referrals in San Francisco to measure how referral investments drive member acquisition and long-term value. You will partner with the Referrals team to scale spend, forecast campaigns, and evaluate incrementality and attribution.

The base salary starts at $133,000 and up to $185,000, with bonus eligibility, equity, and benefits. Strong SQL and Python or R skills, plus experience with geo experiments and BI dashboards, are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in referral programs and marketing analytics.
• Experience with marketing campaign planning and sizing and translating goals into spend and ROI projections.
• Experience building forecasting models for marketing or growth channels.
• Strong experience designing and evaluating incrementality tests (geo experiments, holdouts, platform lift).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Referrals to define KPIs and measurement frameworks across campaigns and audiences.
• Size and scope referral campaigns with cross-functional teams and translate goals into spend, volume, and ROI projections.
• Build and maintain forecasting models for the referral channel and LTV across scenarios.
• Develop attribution approaches reconciling platform data with observed behavior.
• Design geo experiments, holdouts, and platform lift studies to quantify incremental lift.
• Build dashboards showing spend, CAC, funnel conversion, and LTV by campaign.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve tracking and data pipelines.
• Translate analyses into actionable recommendations for leadership.
