Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist for the Outcomes Research Team to lead HEOR and real‑world evidence studies in oncology. You will partner with Pharma, biotech and academic institutions to analyze large healthcare datasets, develop robust methods, and publish impactful real‑world findings.

The role requires an advanced quantitative degree and strong R and SQL skills, with experience in time‑to‑event analysis and regulatory awareness. Remote options are available within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field with 2+ years related experience.
• Demonstrated computational skills using R and SQL on large healthcare datasets.
• Strong data manipulation and observational study experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute HEOR and real-world evidence projects with external partners.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design, analyze, interpret and publish studies.
• Apply epidemiologic and health economic methods to complex problems.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to translate research into actionable insights.
• Stay current with RWE methods including causal inference.
• Build reusable analytical infrastructure and workflows.
