Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to lead pharmacoepidemiologic and HEOR studies using real-world data to inform clinical decisions. You will collaborate with Pharma, academia, and internal teams to design analyses, interpret results, and publish findings.

The role emphasizes methodological rigor, stakeholder communication, and building scalable analytics for real‑time insights in oncology and beyond.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science, biostatistics, epidemiology or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years experience with Master’s, 3+ with PhD, or 8+ with Bachelor’s.
• Proficient in R and SQL for large healthcare datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute HEOR and real‑world evidence projects with external partners.
• Represent the Outcomes Research function in design, analysis, and publication of real‑world studies.
• Work on complex problems, applying epidemiologic and health economic methods.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to translate research into actionable insights for clients.
• Stay current with RWE methodologies, including causal inference and pharmacoepidemiologic methods.
• Build analytical infrastructure, including reusable code and workflows.
• Comply with regulations and Tempus data governance policies.
