Job summary

Tempus seeks a Sr. Data Scientist to lead HEOR and real-world evidence projects within the Outcomes Research team, partnering with pharma, academia, and internal stakeholders to design rigorous analyses that inform treatment choices.

You will apply causal inference, survival analysis, and health economic methods to large real-world datasets (claims, EHR, registries), translating findings into clinically actionable insights and contributing to methodological papers and regulatory-ready workflows.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science, biostatistics, epidemiology or related quantitative field.
• Experience with large-scale healthcare datasets.
• Proficiency in R and SQL on real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage HEOR and real-world evidence (RWE) projects with external partners.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on study design, analysis, interpretation and publication.
• Apply epidemiologic and health economic methods to complex data problems.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to translate research into clinically actionable insights for clients.
• Stay current with RWE methodologies, including causal inference.
• Build reusable analytical infrastructure and workflows to improve speed and quality.
