OpenAI is seeking a senior Data Scientist for pricing to become the first dedicated data science hire on the Pricing team. You will partner with the CFO, Head of Pricing, and senior leaders to build pricing analytics and inform executive decisions.

The role blends hands‑on technical depth with storytelling for leadership, shaping the future of pricing at OpenAI across global product lines.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data science, analytics, economics, statistics, ML or related quantitative field.
• Strong ability in analysis, modeling, experimentation and data‑driven decisions.
• Experience with pricing, monetization or complex marketplace problems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior analytical partner to pricing leaders on monetization decisions.
• Build the analytical foundation for pricing across consumer, SMB and enterprise segments.
• Design and execute analyses linking behavior, usage, revenue and pricing strategy.
• Develop models, experiments and decision frameworks for pricing, packaging and willingness‑to‑pay.
