Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the People Analytics team to build models forecasting attrition, hiring needs, and workforce trends. You will deploy predictive models in Python/SQL and develop AI agents that translate data into actionable HR insights for senior leadership.

You will collaborate with HR COEs, Workday, and Visier, and you will explain complex results to non-technical audiences while handling sensitive workforce data with discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Math, CS, or related analytical field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist producing models in production environments.
• Strong foundation in predictive modeling, including regression, time series forecasting, and classification.
• Experience with experimentation, causal inference, and selecting appropriate methods for questions.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, tool use, and retrieval; familiarity with Claude is a plus.
• Experience with large, complex HR datasets; data cleaning and structuring using SQL or APIs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leaders to forecast needs and build trusted models and agents.
• Build and deploy predictive models in Python and SQL; monitor performance and retrain as needed.
• Develop AI agents to query and act on People data with safety guardrails.
• Choose methods, apply experiments and causal inference, and explain approaches to leadership.
• Leverage LLMs to surface patterns in unstructured People data and incorporate findings into models.
• Gain deep familiarity with Lennar's people data and collaborate with Data Engineering on pipelines.
• Explain statistical concepts and model results to non-technical HR and business audiences.
• Handle sensitive workforce and compensation data with discretion.
