Job summary

MAXIMUS is hiring a data analytics leader in Columbus, OH to interpret results across ML methods, select features and refine classifiers, and provide SME guidance to analysts and stakeholders. The role focuses on applying decision technologies and robust statistical methods to forecast trends and drive data-driven decisions.

You will expand data collection, automate anomaly detection, and lead project strategy.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent education with 7+ years of data analytics experience.
• Strong knowledge of ML techniques and algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Trees).
• Experience with data-driven decision making and analytics impact.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with business users.
• Experience with large data sets and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret results using data aggregation, statistics, data mining and pattern recognition.
• Select features and refine classifiers using ML techniques for improved performance.
• Be SME in data and analytics guiding peers and stakeholders.
• Identify suitable decision technology techniques like optimization, simulation, regression, trees, neural networks, clustering and more.
• Use statistical methods to forecast trends and maintain reliable predictions.
• Expand data collection procedures for robust analytics systems.
• Develop automated anomaly detection and monitor model performance.
• Lead project management and facilitate team communication and strategy implementation.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to MAXIMUS initiatives.
