Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a senior data science professional to lead analytics initiatives. You will interpret results across data mining and statistics, and develop classifiers using modern ML techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years in data analysis/science.
• 7+ years in data analysis/science with data-driven decision making.
• Strong understanding of ML techniques and algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, trees).
• Experience with data science toolkits and multiple ones preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Advanced applied statistics skills (distributions, tests, regression).
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases; strong querying skills.
• Experience with large data sets and distributed/cloud computing is a plus.
• Able to work independently or in a technical team; strong communication.
• Experience with government-sponsored health care programs desirable.

• Interpret results using data aggregation, statistics, data mining and pattern recognition.
