McKinsey & Company in North America Life Sciences practice seeks a Senior Data Scientist to join the Life Sciences AI team, integrated with QuantumBlack. Build advanced analytics and agentic solutions for Pharma and MedTech.

You will deliver production-ready systems, mentor colleagues, and partner with global teams to reshape commercial workflows and deliver real-world patient impact.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, engineering, or AI.
• 5+ years of deep technical experience in ML, knowledge graphs, agents, evaluation frameworks for agentic outputs, graph neural networks, deep learning, CV, and statistics.
• Strong Python programming with pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, etc.
• Ability to write production-grade code with Git.
• Experience with Python stack and cloud/data tools listed.
• Client-facing experience and ability to translate analytics into insights.
• Strong time management and autonomy.
• Demonstrated leadership, either thought or people leadership.
• Excellent presentation and written communication; travel willingness.
• English fluency; ability to adapt to different perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with global teams to create differentiated analytics and agentic solutions for Life Sciences commercial use cases.
• Transform pilots into integrated, production-ready systems for end-to-end workflows.
• Develop advanced machine learning models and design agentic flows; evaluate outputs.
• Write optimized code and contribute to internal DS toolkit; ensure statistical rigor and reusable methods.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support stakeholders in translating analytics into insights.
• Explore emerging technologies and collaborate with diverse experts to deliver innovations.
• Contribute to modernizing clients' commercial engagement models and real-time data insights.
