Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to join our Corporate Engineering data analytics team.

The role develops and executes the analytics strategy for Oshkosh products, applying machine learning to predictive maintenance and intelligent control of on- and off‑road vehicles. You will collaborate with data science, data engineering, software, and other engineering groups to deliver insights, build models in Python, R, or Java/C++, and support cloud-based analytics on Hadoop systems.

Qualifications

• Accredited BS in computer science, data science or related field with 5+ years of related experience.
• Standout: advanced degrees or PhD with relevant experience.
• Experience in statistics, AI, data analytics or ML.
• Knowledge of telematics interfaces, Hadoop, data processing tools, and Python/R/Java/C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Perform data science or analytics tasks and visualizations.
• Deliver results per Oshkosh standards and processes.
• Assist/supervise more junior data analysts/scientists.
• Collaborate with data science, data engineering, software and other engineering groups.
• Develop analytics strategy for telematics, cloud and data architectures.
