Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join Corporate Engineering to develop and execute data analytics strategies for Oshkosh products. You will work with cross-functional teams to apply data analytics and machine learning to preventive maintenance and intelligent control of on- and off-road vehicles.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science or related field with five (5) or more years of related experience.
Experience with statistics, artificial intelligence, data analytics or machine learning.
Knowledge of telematics interfaces, data file systems (Hadoop) and data processing techniques (Kafka, Impala, MapReduce), SQL/NoSQL databases, and data modeling in Python, R, or Java/C/C++.

Responsibilities

Perform data science or analytics assignments, investigations, and visualization tasks.
Deliver results according to Oshkosh and general industry engineering standards and processes.
Support (Sr.) data analyst/scientist in preparation of analytics work, plans, designs, data processing and visualization, and/or reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and execute the data analytics strategy for telematics, cloud hosting, and data preprocessing.
