Job summary

NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking a Senior Data Scientist II to provide day-to-day program management, technical, and data governance expertise for a large-scale federal data access program supporting NIH-funded researchers. You will lead, coordinate, and oversee secure data linkage services across multiple contractors and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in bioinformatics, information systems, computer science, statistics, data science, health services research, economics, public health, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of a secure health data access and management program with project planning, staffing, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and performance.
• Serve as a primary liaison with client and external partners, manage cross-contractor dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Provide technical and programmatic oversight of data and technology environments, including secure cloud platforms and data systems.
