Job summary

NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking a Research Director I to support the Health Care Programs Research Department. This role focuses on researching, interpreting, and implementing federal and state healthcare data sharing and privacy policies, including ACA and MACRA, translating complex guidance into practical procedures and training materials for internal teams and government clients.

The position is hybrid with a Chicago Loop office base, requiring in-office presence six days per

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical assistance for researchers seeking access to health data and clarify ACA/MACRA requirements.
• Develop and author program procedural documentation and ensure alignment with client and company standards.
• Monitor current policies and proactively identify downstream impacts and provide solutions.
• Identify documentation gaps and participate in corrective action and training material enhancements.
• Summarize regulatory guidance to develop and implement program policies and procedures.
• Communicate findings clearly within internal teams and with external government and partners.
