Job summary

Medbridge is a remote-first SaaS company transforming healthcare by building technology solutions used by providers to improve patient outcomes and reduce care costs. The Staff Data Scientist will own end-to-end modeling, from framing problems with clinical partners to deploying models in production and monitoring their impact.

You will set modeling standards, ensure reproducibility, and collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams while upholding the highest data ethics standards

Qualifications

• Production-grade model code deployed and retrained in production.
• Statistical depth with uncertainty quantification and assumption checks.
• Experience with real-world healthcare data and evaluation design.
• Experience shipping models from open-ended goals to product features with product/engineering teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clinical, product, and leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, validation, and production operation of Medbridge's predictive models, starting with outcomes benchmarking models.
• Set the methodological bar and document decisions for transparency and scrutiny.
• Write production-quality code: tested, versioned, reviewed, and reproducible; partner with Data Engineering for deployment and monitoring in Snowflake.
• Estimate product/program impact on patient outcomes using experimental and observational methods.
• Turn ambiguous goals into well-posed problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy models.
