Fora Travel is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to help us run the business more efficiently. You will own the growth operating model behind forecasting, planning, and goal-setting and guide strategic decisions for our founders and senior leadership team.

This role sits on the Data Science & Analytics team and partners with Strategy & Operations, Finance, and executives to drive decisions on growth targets, resource allocation, and strategic investments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business data science, business analytics, or strategy and analytics.
• Experience building financial or operating models using forecasting, regression, and cohort analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills with Python or scripting language proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack and data modeling best practices.
• Experience using LLM tools to accelerate analysis and prototyping.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills.
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to deliver real business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the growth operating model used to forecast the business, run scenarios, and steer the business week to week.
• Partner with Strategy & Operations and Finance on goal-setting and forecasting cycles.
• Analyze data to diagnose and explain business trajectory and trends.
• Size opportunities and model impact of pricing changes and new initiatives.
• Partner with executive leadership to shape strategic company decisions and investments.
• Raise the bar across the data team and mentor peers, shaping processes and standards.
