Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a principal-level data scientist for Workforce Solutions to define the data science direction and drive multi-year growth. You will partner with product, design, finance, and engineering to measure growth, test hypotheses, and shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science or analytics with a track record of setting strategy and driving outcomes at the business-unit level.
• Deep expertise in causal inference and experimentation: experimental design and analysis at scale.
• Proven ability to direct product and growth roadmaps with data-backed hypotheses.
• Exceptional tops-down executive communication: able to present in front of Director/VP/SVP levels.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional leaders and drive DS programs with downstream dependencies.
• Experience with subscription growth, unit economics, and product-led growth dynamics.
• Advanced SQL and Python, hands-on instrumentation and pipeline/ETL construction.
• Mentoring senior data scientists and setting technical standards.
• Experience in payroll, HR tech, fintech or compliance-heavy domains is a plus.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the data science strategy for Workforce Solutions end to end and decompose growth into measurable drivers.
• Drive attach, activation, and retention growth through analysis of customer behavior.
• Set the experimentation bar and design high-stakes tests with advanced causal methods.
• Define and own the metric system for Workforce Solutions for leadership planning.
• Synthesize performance narratives and articulate growth drivers and headwinds.
• Build understanding of customer segments and translate into bets.
• Own data architecture and instrumentation powering performance views and integrations.
• Raise data science craft across the organization by mentoring and setting standards.
