Job summary

C3 AI, an Enterprise AI company, is seeking a senior data scientist to lead research and develop agentic AI capabilities for enterprise-scale deployments on the C3 AI Platform.

You'll work with data scientists, AI engineers, and customers to design, deploy, and optimize AI solutions, including generative and agentic systems, across industries. Travel is expected for client engagements and collaboration.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Hands-on AI experience spanning generative AI, agentic systems, supervised and unsupervised learning, and classical regression and classification.
• Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
• Experience building and deploying models at scale in distributed or cloud-native environments.
• Ability to drive projects independently and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Sharp, motivated, and focused on making a real impact.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of AI models, agentic solutions, and optimization algorithms for enterprise applications on the C3 AI Platform.
• Partner with C3 AI customers to build and scale their own AI applications on the Platform.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new AI capabilities within the C3 AI Platform.
• Analyze model performance across enterprise deployments, diagnose issues such as poor recall or false positive rates, and recommend targeted improvements.
• Collaborate with data engineers and subject matter experts from C3 AI and customer teams to source, validate, and correctly leverage new data assets.
