Job summary

Credence is seeking a Senior AI Data Engineer to lead data engineering for AI/automation initiatives that support federal missions. You will design and deploy data-driven, cloud-native AI capabilities, collaborating across engineering, data, and stakeholder teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You will work on data integration, data lake/warehouse design, and production monitoring while advancing agentic AI lifecycles and best practices. Strong AI/ML tooling and secure delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering Data/AI/ML solutions.
• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT and enterprise data/storage systems.
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings.
• Proficiency with OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, or Vertex APIs for LLMs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Data Integrations for Generative AI & LLM usage: Build and optimize data pipelines for AI readiness.
• Data Lake & Warehouse Engineering: Manage large datasets across cloud platforms with medallion architecture.
• Database Management & Performance: Model/query large-scale datasets; monitor and tune data stores.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work with data engineers, software engineers, and data scientists.
• Cloud Enablement: Automate model deployment workflows with IaC & CI/CD.
• Production Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor and tune AI systems for reliability.
• Documentation: Write clean, documented code per guidelines.
• Professional Growth: Learn from seniors through design reviews.
