Job summary

Credence is hiring a Senior AI Data Engineer to serve as a technical anchor in our AI and Automation practice. You will design, build, and deploy data-driven, cloud-native AI capabilities that advance federal missions, collaborating across engineering, data, and stakeholder teams.

You will drive data integrations for generative AI/LLM usage, manage data lakes and warehouses, and ensure data quality and performance across platforms. Strong communication and a client-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering Data/AI/ML solutions.
• Strong ETL/ELT expertise and data storage systems experience.
• Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Kafka, and cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with AI APIs and agentic AI frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Data Integrations for Generative AI & LLM usage.
• Data Lake & Warehouse engineering across cloud platforms.
• Database management with SQL/NoSQL and performance tuning.
• Collaborative engineering with data scientists and software engineers.
• Cloud enablement using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Production monitoring and optimization of AI systems.
• Documentation and adherence to federal guidelines.
• Mentorship and technical design reviews.
