Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Scientist to support a Modernized Data Science Platform for a Federal client. The role focuses on bridging business needs and technical solutions through requirements analysis, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.

You will lead a team of junior developers, design Palantir Foundry solutions, build data models from ERP data, and ensure code moves to production with robust testing and documentation. Security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience in data/system roles.
• Strong Python and PySpark development experience with Palantir Foundry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Jr. developers to deliver capabilities for the client.
• Design Palantir Foundry-based solutions meeting business requirements.
• Analyze and modify data models as needed for modernization.
• Promote code into production and verify test results.
• Build data models and reports from ERP and legacy data sources.
