SMX is seeking a Data Scientist to support a Federal customer with a Modernized Data Science Platform. The role bridges business needs and technical solutions, focusing on requirements analysis, process improvement, and data-driven decisions to aid IT transformation.
The position includes onsite work 2 days weekly at Crystal City Taylor Building, with a Prior government experience preference. The compensation ranges from $125,000 to $180,000 USD annually, with health insurance, paid leave, and
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: 6 years of related work experience.
- Hands-on development experience with Python and Pyspark; Palantir Foundry experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Jr. developers to deliver capabilities as required by the client.
- Design new solutions using Palantir Foundry to deliver capabilities meeting business functional requirements.
- Analyze & Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
- Promote code into production.
- Define test cases and verify test results to ensure solutions are functioning as designed.
- Build data models and reports using datasets from ERPs and legacy systems.
