LemFi is seeking a senior data scientist to lead data science in Credit, shaping underwriting, pricing, and risk strategies. You will work across Credit Risk, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Commercial teams to scale lending with rigor, explainability, and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data science, ML, or quantitative decisioning in fintech.
• Fluency in Python and SQL for model development and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with production-grade predictive models and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk concepts, portfolio metrics, and PD/loss.
• Experience deploying ML systems with engineering teams in live products.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data science strategy for Credit, including underwriting and pricing.
• Design/train/validate/predictive models to improve credit outcomes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and software engineers to productionise models.
• Partner with Product Managers and Credit leaders to translate business problems into hypotheses.
• Build robust monitoring for model performance, drift, fairness, and governance.
• Lead analyses of portfolio behaviour, repayment patterns, loss drivers, customer segments.
• Act as a technical mentor to analysts and data scientists.
