Job summary

LemFi is building a go-to financial app for the Global South, expanding credit infrastructure for millions across 21 markets. We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own core backend services, primarily in Go, with occasional Java.

You’ll impact loan lifecycles, underwriting, and repayment while shaping engineering culture in a fast-growing team. You’ll work autonomously on production-grade systems, collaborating with product and compliance to meet regulatory needs and data integrity

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience in Go.
• Fintech experience and understanding of credit products.
• Experience with distributed systems and data consistency.
• Ability to operate autonomously in evolving teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate high-reliability backend services powering credit products from origination to repayment.
• Make architectural calls on data residency, service boundaries, and loan lifecycle state machines.
• Own services in production: instrument, monitor, debug, and ensure reliability and correctness.
• Collaborate with product and compliance to translate credit requirements into clean, testable code.
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring correctness.
