Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Business Analytics team within the Business Strategy and Insights organization. You will use data analysis, experimentation, and modeling to identify and launch initiatives spanning product and business teams, shaping growth and informed leadership decisions.

The role focuses on data-driven strategies, communicating findings to senior leadership, and partnering with cross-functional teams to grow active users and subscribers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics.
• Fluent in SQL and Python or R; strong grasp of statistical methods and causal inference.
• Direct experience with product analytics or experimentation is a plus.
• Enjoy partnering with cross-functional stakeholders on varied projects.
• Strategic mindset and ability to extract the 'so what' from complex analyses.
• Excellent communicator for senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven strategies to support growth of Spotify’s active users and subscribers.
• Create and communicate impactful findings and recommendations that improve the Premium product model and forecast impact of new initiatives.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand changes they drive and uncover growth opportunities.
• Analyze experiments (A/B tests) to measure feature impact and go-to-market initiatives.
• Present findings to senior leaders to influence business direction.
