Job summary

Spinlab seeks a seasoned Data Analyst to transform game and player data into actionable business insights. You will work with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to develop predictive models, run A/B tests, and define key metrics for new features.

Remote-friendly, you’ll contribute to data-driven decisions and product growth across clients. Ideal candidates have strong SQL, Python, and visualization skills, plus experience with large datasets and distributed computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in gaming or tech.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; ability to find the story in the data.
• Experience with large datasets and distributed computing tools (BigQuery, Spark, Hive, or similar).
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for complex queries and data wrangling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of game and player data to identify patterns, trends, and dynamics, and turn them into clear business conclusions.
• Translate findings into practical recommendations for product improvements, highlighting what works, what doesn’t, and what opportunities to explore.
• Perform deep-dive investigations into performance anomalies or game features to explain what happened and why.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to shape hypotheses, validate them with data, and contribute hands-on to data science development tasks.
• Develop robust statistical and causal inference analyses to identify drivers of user behavior.
• Contribute to the development and validation of predictive models, including feature engineering, dataset preparation, model evaluation, and A/B testing, in collaboration with Data Scientists.
• Communicate complex insights in a simple, compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Help define metrics for new products or features, expanding high-level requirements with your analytical thinking and product insights.
• Build dashboards and reports to help stakeholders monitor key KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
