Job summary

Merrick Bank, a leading non-prime lender, seeks a Vice President of Data Science to drive analytics, risk modeling and pricing strategies for our Recreational Lending business. You will lead a cross-functional team of data scientists and analysts, shaping credit policy and model implementations to improve profitability.

The role requires a strong track record in data-driven decision making, leadership, and collaboration with finance, legal, and technology partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Ten+ years of data-driven analysis to inform business or product strategy.
• Five+ years of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of data scientists and analysts to drive consumer lending analytics and risk models.
• Oversee credit strategy, pricing, valuations, and collections initiatives.
• Develop KPI dashboards and monitor P&L impact for strategic decisions.
• Oversee data science roadmap and delivery of models supporting lending products.
• Collaborate with partners across finance, risk, technology and business lines to implement initiatives.
