Job summary

Decagon is seeking a senior data-focused professional to own metrics for large deployments, translating customer needs into measurable performance and building trusted data products. You will partner with Product, Strategy, and Deployment teams to define and deliver metrics, run experiments, and drive product improvements across high-stakes accounts.

This senior IC role requires independence, strong SQL and Python skills, and a track record of turning data into actionable outcomes in fast-moving

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science or analytics driving end-to-end analyses.
• Strong judgment interpreting metrics and edge cases.
• Ability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• High degree of independence and ownership.
• Ability align stakeholders with differing priorities on success.
• Solid fundamentals in SQL and Python with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Define metrics with customers and operationalize them in a trusted way.
• Deliver metrics with transparent data access to support narratives.
• Improve key metrics by diagnosing drivers and running experiments.
• Scope and build product features and frameworks for broader use.
• Define success for new initiatives without precedent.
• Run tight feedback loops with Product, Engineering, and Research.
