PEMCO is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Actuarial in the Greater Seattle area. The role focuses on complex actuarial and predictive analyses to support product development, rating, reserving, and system improvements.

You will build large-scale models, write advanced SQL queries, and collaborate with Product teams to drive pricing strategies and financial analysis. The position requires 6+ years in actuarial modeling, strong programming in Python/R/SAS, and a detail-oriented, data-driven

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field required.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• At least 6+ years of actuarial and predictive modeling experience.
• MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook proficiency required.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SAS and/or SQL.
• Strong quantitative modeling, data structures, and ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform complex analytical support for actuarial and product development.
• Develop large-scale predictive modeling and multivariate analysis.
• Create queries and tools to assist the development and implementation of rates, rating plans, pricing strategies and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Team and other business units to provide business solutions.
• Develop and document system workflows and business processes.
• Pioneer best practice in building tools and processes to create efficiencies.
• Mentor less experienced members, sharing best practices.
