PEMCO is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Actuarial in the Seattle area to conduct complex actuarial and predictive analyses supporting product development, rating, and financial analysis. You will develop large-scale models, write advanced SQL, and collaborate with actuaries and product managers to drive pricing decisions.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in actuarial modeling, strong Python/R/SAS/SQL skills, and a track record of data-driven solution delivery, with a commitment to PEMCO's

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• 6+ years actuarial and predictive modeling experience.
• 3+ years in the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SAS and/or SQL.
• Strong data structuring and ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and data-driven problem solver.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform complex analytical support for actuarial and product development.
• Develop large-scale predictive modeling and multivariate analyses.
• Create queries and tools to aid rates, pricing strategies and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with product managers and actuaries on strategic decisions.
• Work with Product Team and other units to provide business solutions.
• Develop and document system workflows and processes.
• Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices.
• Demonstrate PEMCO policies, values, and ethics in daily work.
