Headway is seeking a Senior Data Science Manager for Provider Experience to define and lead our data science strategy for providers. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Design, Clinical and Customer Success to turn insights into measurable improvements across the provider experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong product mindset and experience partnering with Product.
• Proven success partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, Design, Operations, Clinical and Customer Success teams.
• Proficiency in forecasting, experimentation, causal inference.
• Experience with data modeling, ideally using dbt.
• Hands‑on fluency in SQL and Python or R.
• Experience adopting and championing AI‑assisted tools to accelerate data workflows.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow a high-performing team of Data Scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and strategic thinking.
• Develop quarterly roadmaps with cross-functional partners, align Data Science resources, and oversee execution of timely and high-quality work.
• Drive insights and decisions through strategic analysis, reporting, experimentation and predictive modeling.
• Obsess over provider experience metrics surfacing gaps and ways to continuously improve them.
• Deep dive into areas we don’t fully understand to segment our data and understand where there’s opportunities to improve provider experiences.
• Stay close to the data by tackling strategic projects yourself, identifying underlying trends and areas of opportunity.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders.
