Job summary

Mixpanel is seeking a Software Engineer III (L3) on the Data Runtime team to design and build the systems that execute every query. You will partner with senior engineers and product teams to shape the architecture of elastic query compute, a distributed file cache, and storage internals.

You will own end-to-end features from design through production, shipping reliable code and helping scale Mixpanel's AI-first analytics for thousands of customers around the world.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering for data infra.
• A strong foundation in distributed systems and data infrastructure.
• Experience owning a project end-to-end and shipping code to production.
• Excellent technical communication across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the systems that execute every query in Mixpanel's Data Runtime.
• Contribute to architecture for elastic query compute and a distributed file cache.
• Collaborate with peer infra teams and product teams on shared architecture.
• Own features from design to production and ensure reliability at scale.
