Job summary

Mixpanel, a leading product intelligence and analytics platform, is seeking a Software Engineer III (Data Runtime) to design and build the systems that execute every query at scale. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and partner with infrastructure and product teams on shared architecture to deliver fast, reliable analytics.

You’ll contribute to elastic compute, distributed file caches, and storage internals, helping shape the AI-first analytics capabilities used by thousands of companies

Qualifications

• Requires a degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 3+ years building and operating data infra/backend systems with shipping in production.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems and data infrastructure.
• Experience owning a project end to end: design, build, ship, operate in production.
• Excellent technical communication across a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems that execute every query at Mixpanel.
• Contribute to the technical design for complex distributed-systems projects.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and product teams on shared architecture.
• Influence the technical direction of the compute layer powering AI-first analytics.
