Job summary

Truist is seeking a data and AI risk professional to provide informed risk oversight of data platforms, architecture, and AI initiatives. The role emphasizes credible challenge and governance enhancements for first-line partners and 1LOD coordination.

The ideal candidate has experience in risk identification, controls design, and governance in technology-driven data environments, with a focus on AI risk and regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in technology, data, business or finance.
• Three+ years of banking, technology, operations, risk management and/or regulatory experience.
• Three+ years of data management, governance, analytics, testing and/or risk management experience.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize.
• Experience with risk and controls framework development and measurement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Data Management, Data Analytics and Data Controls frameworks across data supply chains.
• Ability to operate in a matrixed, complex environment and deliver high-quality executive work products.
• Proven change-management abilities to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Drives successful execution of the EDRO Coverage and Operating Model with risk advisory and independent risk assessment responsibilities.
• Collaborates with business partners to communicate EDRO requirements and align on goals.
• Contributes to EDRO strategic plans and roadmaps.
• Ensures compliance with laws, rules, regulations and internal policies.
• Manages issues and remediation aligned with the Enterprise Issue Management program.
• Supports data risk reporting and metrics across the enterprise.
• Fosters a strong risk culture and accountability for remediation.
• Performs effective challenge on data processes before 3LoD validation.
• Provides risk advisory to strengthen data risk controls and acts as a single point of contact for Data Risk areas.
