Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Director, Business Risk - Data & AI Management to lead risk governance for AI and data initiatives. You will partner with business, technology, and governance teams to identify risks, influence decisions, and embed risk management into operations.

The ideal candidate has deep AI/data risk expertise, executive presence, and a track record of advising senior leaders on responsible technology adoption and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in operational risk management, governance, compliance, audit, controls, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of enterprise governance requirements and risk practices.
• Experience supporting governance reporting, audits, regulatory examinations, and risk programs.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyze operational risks and governance challenges and communicate findings effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain oversight of business risk exposures, governance priorities, and remediation outcomes.
• Serve as the primary risk advisor to leadership on operational, regulatory, and governance matters.
• Lead embedded risk professionals responsible for governance execution and risk monitoring.
• Advance governance frameworks for responsible AI adoption and data governance.
