Job summary

The Data Protection Engineer at Highmark Health will implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure). You will work with DLP, DSPM, and de-identification tools, configure policies, and help tune detection parameters while collaborating with senior engineers to meet security and compliance standards.

The role requires 5 years in DLP and information security, proficiency in Python/PowerShell/JavaScript, and cloud design experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5+ years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5+ years of experience creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3+ years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell).
• 3+ years of experience with cloud design for GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-53/83, PCI, HIPAA, ISO 27001/2, ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms (DLP, DSPM, de-identification).
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation.
