Job summary

Fujitsu is seeking a Senior Solution Architect - Data Protection located in Augsburg with flexible placement across multiple locations in the country. You will design high-level backup and restore solutions, guide product roadmaps with European and Japanese teams, and manage partnerships with top software vendors to extend our data protection portfolio.

In this role, you will lead PoC projects, present technical concepts to executives, and coordinate post-sales support across Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in architecture, planning and deployment of enterprise-grade backup & restore concepts.
• Expert knowledge in at least two market-leading technologies (Commvault, Cohesity; Veritas NetBackup or Veeam).
• Deep understanding of hybrid environments (On-Premises, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and modern workloads (Containers, SaaS-Backup).
• Fluent in German and English; able to present complex topics to technical teams and executives.
• Autonomy and proactive mindset; acts as the technical bridge between Sales, Product Development and Partners.
• Willingness to travel within Europe to support customers and partners on-site.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Solution Design: high-level design of complex backup & restore solutions, evaluating feasibility, compliance and futureproofing.
• Backbone for Product Management: provide expert technical guidance for global development and roadmap items.
• Technology Partnership Management: primary technical contact for strategic software partners and evaluation for integration.
• Lead in Customer Projects: lead PoC projects, deliver technical presentations, oversee implementations as Technical Lead (remote or on-site).
• Innovation & Showcasing: develop showcase architectures in Munich Demo-Center/Lab to demonstrate performance of Data Protection solutions.
• Knowledge Leadership: define standards for solution implementation across Europe with documentation and training concepts.
• Post-Sales Support: provide expert guidance to Post-Sales teams across Europe for deployment and troubleshooting.
