Job summary

Voya Financial is seeking a Senior Data Product Owner to drive discovery, strategy, and delivery for data products in the Retail Wealth Management domain. You will bridge business goals with data solutions, partnering with leaders, engineers, and data professionals to define vision and roadmaps.

You will translate requirements into technical features, collaborate with architects, and measure success through analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in technology, business analysis, or related fields.
• 5+ years of product ownership, product management, or data product experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience working as a Product Owner within an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Strong SQL and data querying skills.
• Understanding of data management and data modeling concepts.
• Experience defining product strategies, product roadmaps, and measurable objectives such as OKRs.
• Strong business analysis and requirements management skills, including requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and prioritization.
• Experience managing multiple priorities, competing stakeholder needs, and changing business demands.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to adapt to change, foster collaboration, and build effective partnerships across teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical requirements for the Retail Wealth Management data domain.
• Define, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap with stakeholders.
• Articulate technology vision and strategy aligning with business objectives.
• Design and implement data solutions with architects and engineering teams.
• Measure product success through analytics and performance insights.
• Create user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and product docs.
• Prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value for sprints and programs.
• Facilitate communication between business partners and engineering teams to validate requirements and delivered solutions.
• Support development teams with data specifications, clarification, and domain expertise.
• Deliver and promote adoption of data products across the business.
• Build partnerships across business and technology teams.
• Mentor junior product owners and team members.
• Develop compelling business narratives to gain stakeholder support.
